She’s goddess of the full moon. Beautiful, mysterious and pale-faced, she wears long white and silver robes. She carries a crescent moon over her head and holds a torch in her hand. Driving a chariot pulled by winged horses, Selene chases the solar one, thus allowing the alternation of the day and of the night.
